Upon encountering our company for the first time, prospective clients in Cambridgeshire and Cambridge, England usually ask us how we at Accent Lettings & Management can possibly provide such a personalised service at such affordable prices. We are proud to let you know that we have been in the residential property management business for more than 23 years. Through the years, we have developed a business model that gets everything done like clockwork.

Accent Lettings & Management are a local company, dedicated to residential lettings & management. We are completely focused on the priorities and needs of the landlord and, unlike estate agents, our loyalties are not divided by dealing with property sales.

How It All Began

Since establishing two companies, HomeLet (Cambridge & Saffron Walden) Ltd. in 1995 and HomeLet (Bayswater) Ltd. in 2002, we have successfully managed a total of 247 houses and apartments. In 2011, we sold both of these businesses to larger companies with the intention of taking it easy for a while.

Around the same time, a colleague was setting up a company offering property maintenance, commercial cleaning and removal services. He wanted to add property management to his portfolio and asked us to help him get this side of the business set up.

We agreed, and soon after, Accent Management became the property letting and management arm of Accent Maintenance Ltd. Very soon, the property maintenance side of the business expanded disproportionately and it became necessary to hive off the management aspect into a separate entity. Thus Accent Lettings & Management was born. Happy landlords from the maintenance business, along with their word of mouth, still provide a major proportion of our clients.

Sharper Focus

Sans any real advertising to speak of, the management side of our business evolved organically. Our expanding customer base is credited to repeat business and referrals.  Experience proves that one can only manage a limited number of properties effectively. Large portfolios and lots of staff tend to dilute things.

Less Is More

As of March 2019, the number of properties we are managing within the 20-mile radius of Cambridge is held at less than 100. This allows us to oversee each one personally.

We also work closely with letting industry colleagues who list our available properties through various major listing portals. Rather than taking on the total expense of advertising with Zoopla, Rightmove and PrimeLocation, we simply pay our partners a fee to advertise our available properties on these major portals.

In the process, we get excellent coverage without having to shell out as much as high street agents do. With low overhead costs to shoulder, we are now able to provide better service at fair fees!
